Of all the elements on earth, perhaps there is nothing more serene than the crystal clear H2O. Its appearance, the sound that it makes, even the taste of it, truly stands for its call as the source of life. No wonder ever since man knew how to do art, water fountains were one of the favorite subjects.

A fountain however can possible be a decoration for the house or something that will degrade it. It serves both ends of the stick because if neglected, for sure it will look and even smell bad, but if it’s properly cared for, then there is no question that it can add more beauty to any given place.

All it takes to properly care for a water fountain is good common sense. One does not need to finish college or even just secondary education to know how to care for it. Good sense as an example will first dictate a person if he is to clean the fountain to turn it off. This is of course for safety reason.

After turning the device off, one will have the choice of either to drain the reservoir or to clean it right away. Draining the reservoir will help put in sight the dirt and grimes that will need cleaning. However, something is still needed for the rinsing.

Thorough cleaning would mean that all the corners and edges of the furnishing must be served. Aside from the corners and edges, the inlets and outlets for the waterline, especially the one that goes toward the pump must be inspected.

When thorough cleaning is done, it is advised to check the electric line as well. If there is nothing wrong with the line, the next thing to do is to fill the reservoir with H2O and test the fountain.

Always make sure that this cleaning is consistently scheduled and a regular water change is done. Doing these things with zeal will for sure make these water fountains as sublime decorations.
