I Have A Solar Powered Fountain. It Sucks, How Can I Improve It?
I need help! Ok so we spent about a total of $150 for this solar powered buddha. We know it only operates if it’s in FULL DIRECT SUNLIGHT. We got it in full sunlight, but the fountain only sprayed the water 1-2 inches! I’m thinking it’s because the motor or panel sucks. Is there a way to improve it? (we don’t feel like spending over $30 to fix)

It is possible you have not pointed the panel correctly. It is not enough to just set in in full sun. The panel needs to be pointed directly at the sun to get maximum power.
In the video I saw the fountain all by itself bubbling up maybe 2 inches. Then in the later part with the two people standing by it I saw it bubbling up maybe 6 inches.
I could not find any specifications on the links. Not the size of the panel or the watts it can make in full sun or anything. But your disappointment is a very good demonstration of how weak solar power is and why it hasn’t taken off as a power source in widespread use.
Most people I know who purchased items from QVC have been disappointed, it is usually not quality merchandise. So, I would say it is likely the pump, or the angle of the tube that the water comes out of.
I used to make fountains and purchased small pumps on ebay for under $20. You can also try to put a cover of some sort over the whole to change the direction of the water as it comes out.
Of return it if you can get a refund.
