Add about one cup to every 60 gallons. You should notice an improvement after a week or two. If your pond seeps into the ground and you live in an area that relies on well water, then try a cleaner fish. They will eat the algae off the rocks. You show buy a UV sterilizer to keep the water clean of all the nutrients algae needs to grow and diseases. IT really works. But for now you have to clean it by hand. They eat algae up nicely. Or if snails gross you out, theres many types of plecostamus you can get. If not intended for fish, they sell algae killing stuff in stores thats pretty effective. I would imagine that if the pond is pretty bad than I would have it professionally cleaned then keep those algae eaters in the pond afterwards to keep it down.
