I don’t know if this will help as I am not an expert BUT my mom owns an aquarium and she uses algae eaters or plecostomus fish (spelling?) and it seems to have worked pretty good. I would imagine that if the pond is pretty bad than I would have it professionally cleaned then keep those algae eaters in the pond afterwards to keep it down. Good Luck!
Check youre ph. If you dont have fish or if you do you may be able to calm the growth by changing the balance.
If your pond is meant to have living things in it, you can get Japanese trapdoor snails. They eat algae up nicely. Or if snails gross you out, theres many types of plecostamus you can get.
If not intended for fish, they sell algae killing stuff in stores thats pretty effective.
You can’t really kill the algae by just boiling, it grows because you have to many nutrients and the sunlight. You show buy a UV sterilizer to keep the water clean of all the nutrients algae needs to grow and diseases. IT really works. But for now you have to clean it by hand.
Dry all the rocks, algea needs moisture to survive. then just scrape it off. Hope you get it all off!
If your pond has a really good barrier from the ground and you don’t have fish, you can keep the algae at bay by adding a bit of bleach to the water once every month and a half. Add about one cup to every 60 gallons. You should notice an improvement after a week or two. If your pond seeps into the ground and you live in an area that relies on well water, then try a cleaner fish. They will eat the algae off the rocks.
Ok funny story(algea isnt a bad thing) it means your ecological balence in your tank is perfect or really good i say to clean it move them around roughly it will knock it of the rocks and get filtered but if it was me id leave it
