Green water is often caused by algae. Chlorine is the preferred way of killing it. Bleach is usually chlorine-based, so should work, and is not likely to damage the pumps.
Add about 1 tablespoon bleach for each gallon to start with. Then, boil pennies with vinegar….keep adding water and keep boiling…this will put a lot of copper into the boiling water..add it to the fountain..will help control alga growth for quite some time. good luck
Simple, go to your local pet supply store and ask for a water purifying solution, get a brand name since most non brand names dont work, trust me this will work same thing happened to me
Have 4 fountains and a fish pond .I clean all my fountains with bleach .But not the fish pond there are Special cleaners for those.
just a little bleach makes it perfect. It will kill fish though.
where the heck is the pipe connected from?
