Frog In A Small Outside Water Fountain?

I try to explain. My mother have a little 20 gallon water fountain. After fall and winter the leaves clog the filter. So, around Feb. I turn it off and then clean about, like today. So, there no Bubbling. When I cleaned it out today there a little frog in the water, cool, I think. But, I wonder if it was eating maybe mosquito larve? If, I turn the pump on and it spray, will the frog leave from the added turbulence? I think the pump would keep mosquitos away as they use stag water. So, am I removing a food source for the frog?

frogs don’t eat the mosquito larvae. instead, they eat the adult mosquito. moreover, mosquito tend to prefer still and stagnant water, but bubbling, fresh water is fair game. a little spray and turbulence in the water i’m sure won’t disturb the frog. but if it’s extreme, then the little frog might find lodgings elsewhere.
am I removing a food source for the frog? I doubt that — he just a wet place to hang out —
