The fountain is a full size old hand well pump which sits on a large flat stone with a hole to resevoir pan below. Total lift is approx 36″. The hand pump outlet is 1 1/2 inches in diameter into which I installed a diffuser so water should hit inside edges of outlet and fall from pump. There is a water pail hanging below which I will make leak substantially so water returns to resevoir. I am looking to achieve a natural looking discharge of water for pump as it would when pump was operated by hand.

I don’t have an outside wall plug anywere near where I want to put the fountain, so I can’t use the electric powered pump that I have.
