The problem is all the water splashes out. Someone told me to get a “splitter” and attach a fountain head to one end and use the other end to run the hose for the waterfall. Does this make sense? Where would I find a splitter and how would I attach it?

i have had it for a wile and Ive been using it for a fountain in my pond. i really want a small water fall but i dont want too buy another filter.

I had a soft-rubber lined in-ground fish pond with a waterfall & now, I am wanting to convert it to a wading/floating pool.
I have drained it, scrubbed it & now, refilled it…
Testing the chlorine & PH, I find that the chlorine is high(almost a 5) and the PH is very low (about 6.8)
Researching on-line, I came across someone who says that aerating the water well will help the ph levels come back up over the course of several days. Does anyone know if having a water pump & fountain constitutes as aerating the water well? And if so, if this will in fact raise the ph?
I have been told to Shock it.
But I have to plead ignorance…I read the Shock bottle and I don’t see anywhere that it states it will affect either one of these.
If you cannot tell, I really do not know what I am doing and any guidance would be appreciated.

the pond is a few months old, size about 8 foot by 4 foot, 2 foot deep. the pump is both fountain and waterfall and on all the time. I have a lily in and a small plant from a local stream. no expensive fish, just a goldfish which i hope to add about 3 more to. water very cloudy, can’t see much below surface.

We have a little fountain (200 l) which pumps the water permanently through three stones. I have to brush the stones twice the week otherwise they get green and look terrible. Has anyone an idea how I can prevent that the stones get green?

The exact name of it escapes me you know the relaxing ones with a small aquarium pump? would like to make it with some smooth rocks piles but dont know where to start

I try to explain. My mother have a little 20 gallon water fountain. After fall and winter the leaves clog the filter. So, around Feb. I turn it off and then clean about, like today. So, there no Bubbling. When I cleaned it out today there a little frog in the water, cool, I think. But, I wonder if it was eating maybe mosquito larve? If, I turn the pump on and it spray, will the frog leave from the added turbulence? I think the pump would keep mosquitos away as they use stag water. So, am I removing a food source for the frog?

I am making a 25-30 gallon container water garden with a couple goldfish. I would like to have a filter/fountain in it, but where it will be is 50′ from the closest electrical outlet. A solar fountain is out of budget, so I would like to run an outdoor extension cord under the ground. Years ago, my Dad ran two 100′ unprotected outdoor cords between two houses and left it there for about 5 years without problems. But my situation is a little different. It will be underground, and it will be running almost constantly. Is this feasible? If so, how can I protect the plug at the pump? Electrical tape?
