The problem is all the water splashes out. Someone told me to get a “splitter” and attach a fountain head to one end and use the other end to run the hose for the waterfall. Does this make sense? Where would I find a splitter and how would I attach it?

I recently added a waterfall which falls into both my pool and my spa. I have a 2 1/2HP circ pump and a 3/4 HP Booster pump for the Polaris, but the flow seems low. When I have the waterfall valve open, the return jets open, and the valve to some fountains open they just don’t give alot of flow. I have to partially close off some of the valves to get the waterfall and fountain to give adequate flow. I am wondering if adding a booster pump just for the water fall will help, or do I need to purchase another circ pump to get the flow up?

Is A Gp250 Pond Pump Good For Small Waterfalls?

i have had it for a wile and Ive been using it for a fountain in my pond. i really want a small water fall but i dont want too buy another filter.

I have a beercooler, and is basically a refrigeration unit designed to extract heat from an input and outlet pipe, and transfer this to a neutral liquid, which is pumped around another looped radiator -with a fan unit on it. Thus – the heat is removed from the beer, and ouputed into the room.
Any suggestions for aplication, siting etc would be useful.
Maybe radiators painted black outdors, and a small solar fountain pump to circulate the water ?

How Do I Work A Little Giant Pump?

I just got a tabletop bowl with rocks in it and a Little Giant Pump (Cat. 567601/Model PSM-002). I have never had a tabletop fountain before and do not know how to use the pump. It is one piece (do I need a hose attachment to put in the water?) with a hole on top that looks like it would shoot water up (is this where I would put an attached hose if I needed one? or is this the whole pump & is it submersible?. The pump itself is all black but it has a blue slider button on one side with “+” and “-” marks on it – would this be to measure how high the water goes in the bowl? There is a tag by the end of the plug that says “do not run dry” – but until I get some more information I’m afraid to just put the pump in the water and turn it on – electricution? I went to the Little Giant Pump website but this pump is apparently outdated and they don’t list it nor do they have any kind of information for someone like me who knows nothing about underwater pumps. Can someone help me? Thanks.

Hi and HELP!!! I have a small solar powered fountain in my front yard that I absolutely love, but it needs a new pump. I have been browsing and can’t find what I think I need. Where might I find a decent, ( and inexpensive) pump for my small (about 3 feet tall) cascading water fountain? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have a lily in and a small plant from a local stream. no expensive fish, just a goldfish which i hope to add about 3 more to. water very cloudy, can’t see much below surface.

Water Pump Questions?

I’m looking to build a fountain to dispense Wine. For which, I’ll need a pump. I’m thinking submersible aquarium pump.
I’m concerned about after tastes, and general safety of this venture.
Can you drink water that’s been run through an aquarium pump?
Would alcohol be any different?
Is there a better choice? What would it be?

I’ve looked online and they seem to be for larger fountains, but this fountain is only holds about a half gallon of water…

Large 20″ Bamboo Rocking Fountain and Pump Kit

Large 20

The 20″ Bamboo Rocking Fountain, known as a “deer scarer” combines sound and motion to create a compelling water feature. The Rocking Fountain’s bamboo arm rocks forward when it fills with water, then rocks back to make a gentle “clacking” sound.

Not sure if fountain is the right word, just a large rock with a hole in the top so water can spill out of the whole over the front of the rock. It will be approx. 7 feet tall, spillway approx. 2-3 feet wide. How many GPH pump do we need?

I am planning on building a copy of his Hydraulic Water Pump (http://imagecache5.art.com/p/LRG/29/2939/JUYRD00Z/leonardo-da-vinci-hydraulic-water-pump-for-a-fountain-codex-atlanticus-1478-1518.jpg) the one on the the bottom. and i have figured almost everything out, but i was wondering what kind of pump he would have used to pump the water to the higher level?
i would like to use one that uses no electricity, and will move close to 100% of the water to the higher level- so it will constantly will keep on working.

I am planning on building about a 500 Gallon Pond and have available a 2000 GHP pond pump Powerjet 2000 by Laguna. Is this just to powerful for my to be pond or is this better for kepping the pond clean for my fish and turtle. Also my Filter only handles up to 1400 GPH which is a Pressure-Flo 1400 by Laguna. Will this pump aslo be to strong for the filter. Thank you for your help I love this site.

A Truly Quiet Desktop Fountain Pump?

All the ones I’ve tried make more noise than the fountain, which kind of spoils the effect :-) I would like to hear water dripping on slate, not the hum of the pump. Any specific suggestions? Thanks

How Do I Build A Water Pump For Aquarium?

i will be getting a reptile soon and i want an inexpensive foundtain, i have the fountain part of it, but i want to know if i can build the pump part myself, not spending to much cash

The fountain is a full size old hand well pump which sits on a large flat stone with a hole to resevoir pan below. Total lift is approx 36″. The hand pump outlet is 1 1/2 inches in diameter into which I installed a diffuser so water should hit inside edges of outlet and fall from pump. There is a water pail hanging below which I will make leak substantially so water returns to resevoir. I am looking to achieve a natural looking discharge of water for pump as it would when pump was operated by hand.

Can I Use An Air Pump As A Water Pump?

I’m making a fountain, and I have some spare air pumps sitting around but no water pump. Can I rig an air pump to pump water?

How To Build A Water Fountain Using A Well Pump?

Such a pump may have too high a capacity for your purpose.
You can still use it with a buffer tank. Put up a small ten gallon tank at some height in a location out of sight or camouflaged.
Run the plumbing (plastic pipes will do fine) to the water feature that you plan to use.
Use a level controller in the tank to top up water from the final pool back to the high tank using the pump.
You will also need to put in a make up connection to the pool for compensating spray and evaporation loss.

It is a fairly large cascading corner fountain. I have no pump…yet. I would like to use it like a waterfall and connect it to a pond but have no idea how to go about this. I am tired of promises by those around me to help and if I had the correct information am pretty sure I could do this myself.
I would need to know what supplies I would need and how to set up pump etc to make it work the way I am picturing it. I need the soothing sound of running water close to me and it would also bring the wildlife within view. Making a wildlife habitat on the little piece that is mine to work with.
I would like to thank everyone who will contribute to this question
