Do I Really Need This For A Koi Pond?

I found a list of things that I need for a koi pond and I was just wondering if I really need all of this stuff.
-water pump
-bio filter (what is this?)
-mechanical filtration
-ultraviolet light system
-ozonator
-aerator
-waterfall
-fountain
-protein skimmer
-heating system
-underwater lighting
My pond is about 20×10x3 ft with the deepest area 5ft. I got this list from www.koifishponds.com/koi_pond_design.htm if this helps at all.

The marble fountain as a 8 feet circle with no base. There is a 7 foot statue in the center and a brass circle thing to spary the water over the statue.
I dont have anything else. I know i need a pump and to wire power to the fountain, which i would like to add lighting also.
The backyard hasnt be setup, but planning on doing concrete, which they can run conduit to were ever i want.
Is there anything special i can do to make it so the pump isnt seen or to make the setup nicer.
Heard i should run water to it also so it never runs out, not sure what needs to be done for that, there will be a speakler system within 10 feet of the statue.
Any suggestions would be great, on setup or ways to do the setup or if there is something special i should do for the base besides having it in concrete.

Halloween Decoration Problem Need Help?

i am making a blood fountain for Halloween and i really need a water pump (it needs to be cheap) the water pump will pump the water into a skull i have all the things except a water pump! i really need a cheap water pump and the only ones i can find are like 60 bucks! can someone tell me were i can get a water pump really cheap, like around 20 dollars or under, or tell me how to make one?

I recently added a waterfall which falls into both my pool and my spa. I have a 2 1/2HP circ pump and a 3/4 HP Booster pump for the Polaris, but the flow seems low. When I have the waterfall valve open, the return jets open, and the valve to some fountains open they just don’t give alot of flow. I have to partially close off some of the valves to get the waterfall and fountain to give adequate flow. I am wondering if adding a booster pump just for the water fall will help, or do I need to purchase another circ pump to get the flow up?

i am not sure how deep it is but, it is large. too large to drain. It may have a natural cool water spring in the middle and estimated 35 feet deep. I ‘t has never been taken care of and i am just starting. i would like to get a fountain pump for the middle but, i need landscaping ideas, pump sizes and to clean up the water. how can i tell if there is a natural spring???

What’s the best tool or method? It is on the outside of a garage which is not drywalled or insulated, but of course has vinyl siding on the outside. This is for a small pump for a water fountain. I am OK on the wiring part of it, just need advice on cutting the hole though the wood (particle board, naturally), and the vinyl and have good looking results. I do have access to a “sawzall” at work, but am worried about what that might do to the siding.

Im working on a project and i need an insulator that can withstand high temperatures. I have tried using aluminum foil to at least help a little bit, but the propane burner is hot enough to turn the aluminum into boxite(or something like that) it gets all discolored and crumbly. It has to be decently flexible and somewhat durable. the progect has a coper tubing coil surounded by a steel case i made out of a paint can, I have a fountain pump runing water through the tubing so i can heat the water. Unfortunatly there are still gaps between the burner and the case. I need something that will fit into the gaps and can wrap around the case to keep the heat in. the burner runs very hot but i dont know how hot it acutaly is. any ideas would be very helpful.. Thank you

will connect to vintage tub basin connected to pump.

Not sure if fountain is the right word, just a large rock with a hole in the top so water can spill out of the whole over the front of the rock. It will be approx. 7 feet tall, spillway approx. 2-3 feet wide. How many GPH pump do we need?

Need instructions on how to make a Watering Can Fountain w/Suspended Water Faucet. I have the can, 1/2″ plastic tubing, 1/2″ brass spigot and pump. Need to know on to connect tubing to faucet. I’ve read drilling holes and screen, etc., but would like more detailed instr. Thanks

I’m going to run a 6 zone Toro Timer (60 Watts)
Gate openers (25 Watts per opening)
Fountain pump (135 Watts)

Have a nice outdoor fountain in my backyard. the sound of flowing water is very soothing…however the night life has discovered this and come morning the water level is nearly to the pump and that would ruin the pumps purpose. Does anyone know where I can find or make a screen that would keep the racoons/possumms out???
